Questions to ask when searching for the right wedding planner.

Ah, the wedding planner. The person responsible for bringing your dream wedding to life, while you sit back and relax, sipping champagne and basking in the glow of love. Sounds pretty sweet, right? But how do you choose the right wedding planner for you? Here are some questions you should be asking when interviewing potential planners:

  1. What inspired you to become a wedding planner?

This question may seem simple, but it can give you insight into the planner’s personality and approach to their work. Do they have a genuine love for weddings, or did they fall into the industry by accident? A passionate and dedicated planner is always a good sign.

  1. How do you handle unexpected situations on the big day?

Weddings are notorious for surprises and mishaps, so it’s important to know how your planner plans to handle them. A seasoned professional will have contingency plans in place and will know how to think on their feet.

  1. What is your philosophy on wedding planning?

Every planner has their own approach to their work. Some may be more hands-on, while others prefer to take a step back and let the couple take the lead. Make sure their philosophy aligns with your own vision for your big day.

  1. What services do you offer?

Not all wedding planners offer the same services. Some may only provide day-of coordination, while others offer full-service planning. Make sure you understand what is included in the planner’s packages and what additional services they offer.

  1. What is your pricing structure?

Wedding planning can be expensive, so it’s important to know what you’re getting for your money. Ask the planner to break down their pricing structure and what is included in each package. Make sure you’re comfortable with the costs before signing on the dotted line.

  1. Can you provide references?

A good wedding planner should have plenty of happy clients willing to vouch for their work. Ask for references and reach out to past clients to get a sense of their experience working with the planner.

  1. How do you communicate with clients?

Communication is key when it comes to wedding planning. Make sure you understand how the planner plans to keep in touch with you throughout the planning process and how often you can expect updates.

Choosing the right wedding planner can make all the difference in creating your dream wedding. With these questions in your arsenal, you’ll be able to find the perfect planner to bring your vision to life. Let’s get to planning!

Questions to ask when searching for your wedding photographer

Hiring the right photographer to capture your wedding is probably one of the most important decisions you will have to make during the wedding planning process. But with so many photographers out there, how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Here are some important questions to ask when hiring a wedding photographer:

  1. What is your photography style? Different photographers have different styles of photography, so it’s important to make sure their style matches the look and feel you want for your wedding. Some photographers focus on a traditional or classic style, while others have a more artistic or photojournalistic approach.
  2. Can I see your portfolio? Reviewing a photographer’s portfolio will give you a good idea of their skills and style, and can help you determine if they are a good fit for you. Look for consistency in their work and pay attention to the details.
  3. What is your experience with weddings? It’s important to hire a photographer who has experience with weddings specifically. Ask how many weddings they have shot, how long they’ve been in business, and what kind of training or education they have received.
  4. Do you work with a second shooter? Having a second shooter can be beneficial for capturing all of the important moments of your wedding day. If your photographer works with a second shooter, ask about their experience and how they will work together to capture your day.
  5. What is included in your wedding photography package? Make sure you know exactly what is included in your photography package, such as the number of hours of coverage, the number of photos you will receive, and if any prints or albums are included.
  6. What is your backup plan? It’s important to have a backup plan in case of any unforeseen circumstances, such as equipment failure or illness. Ask your photographer what their backup plan is in case of any emergencies.
  7. What is your pricing? Make sure you understand the pricing structure and any additional fees that may be involved. Ask about their payment schedule and if they require a deposit to secure your date.
  8. Can you provide references? A reputable photographer should be able to provide references from previous clients. Don’t be afraid to ask for references and follow up with them to get a better idea of the photographer’s work and professionalism.

Choosing the right wedding photographer can make all the difference in capturing the memories of your special day. By asking these important questions, you can ensure that you hire the right photographer for you and your partner.

All You Knead Is Love Bridal Shower

We had the privilege of creating a beautiful vintage baking themed bridal shower for a very special bride and it was really important for us to create a space that showcased her love for baking in all of the special details. Everything during this shower was personally created thinking about our sweet bride.

One of the first things we did was go on the search for the perfect venue to fit this baking inspired bridal shower… and we found that place in The Garden Room at Soyka Restaurant! This family friendly setting was the ideal palette for this romantic and rustic event.
